Goodreads Summary:

The Selection began with thirty-five girls. Now, with the group narrowed down to the Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon’s heart is fiercer than ever–and America is still struggling to decide where her own heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen, who she always thought was the one?

America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want–and America’s chance to choose is about to slip away.

Review:

Another huge five out of five for The Selection series with The Elite. This book was just as good if not better than the first! I just love the characters, well most of them. America is just so passionate (even if it is a bit irrational at times). I loved that she spoke her opinion on the castes even though she knew that it would end badly. I feel like her father might have something he is hiding either from just her or the whole family. I found it odd that when he was at the palace he would “explore” instead of be with his family at the ball. Especially since it was after America told him about the books. I think Maxon was a bit off this book with being distant toward America after he told her that she was who he wanted in the end but I was so happy when he came around and was finally honest with her. I can’t wait to dive into the next book and find out what happens to this group because I feel like things are just getting started!
